A healthy school environment can influence a child’s wellbeing, attendance and ability to learn.
Through the School WASH Programme, DeepJyoti worked with 27 schools to promote safe water, sanitation and hygiene practices. WASH campaigns and infrastructure improvements helped bring hygiene awareness closer to students and school communities.
The programme demonstrated that improving a school is not only about constructing facilities—it is also about helping children develop healthy behaviours that can influence their families and communities.
